This virtual, interactive four-week course covers parenting strategies for raising healthy, happy eaters! Participants get video and written course materials to review each week before class and then we connect with each other during weekly meetings on Zoom for discussion and support. Participants also get ideas and recipes to try with their family each week.
The classes build on each other with important information included each week in the course materials and live meetings. We cover big-picture techniques for creating a healthy eating environment as well as practical tips that you can use right away. Our weekly meetings give participants a supportive environment for frank discussions about the challenges of parenting around food.
Some topics include picky eating, expanding food choices, planning nutritionally balanced meals, lunch packing, and using our Meal-o-Matic to customize recipes. In addition to helpful information from the Dr. Yum Project team, the biggest benefit of the course is the time to connect each week with other attendees during the live meetings. Classes will be taught by the Dr. Yum Project team, including cooking instructor Wendy Cannon and dietitian Sarah Moran.
Please note the following dates for our live meetings:
Week 1: Creating a Healthy Eating Environment - April 6th, 8-9PM EDT Week 2: Talking About Food & Bodies - April 13th, 8-9PM EDT Week 3: Picky Eating Strategies - April 20th, 8-9PM EDT Week 4: Mindful Mealtimes - April 27th, 8-9PM EDT
